The "Common Cause" PF analysed the qualitative composition of candidates for deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh, nominated in the single-mandate constituency.

As of October 13, 2021, when nomination officially ended, 381 candidates (32 women and 349 men) were nominated in single-mandate constituencies for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, of whom 373 were self-nominated and 8 were nominated by seven political parties.

The maximum number of candidates - 18, was nominated in the Kadamjay constituency.

The minimum number - 3 candidates each, were nominated from the Nookat and Uzgen constituencies. As of 27 October, 234 candidates remained for various reasons.

In accordance with Article 59 of the Constitutional Law, a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic who is 25 years old on the day of the election, has the right to vote, has higher professional education can be elected as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh. Pursuant to the above provision, all candidates have higher professional education. Some candidates have two or more higher educations. Most of the candidates with two educations are in Chui (16 candidates) and Jalal-Abad (9 candidates) regions.

Candidates mostly have legal, economic and technical education. Interestingly, the second education of candidates is most often also legal or economic.

According to the CEC, 79 candidates are listed as unemployed, although the Justice Ministry website lists some candidates as founders of private companies. For example, Saypidinov Emil Jumabayevich, a candidate from Osh Oblast, is the founder of the construction company “Al Khalik”, although he listed himself as unemployed.

Average age of single-mandate candidates is 36-41 years old (81 candidates), 14 candidates are 25-30 years old, 24 candidates are 26-35 years old, 32 candidates are 46-50 years old, 31 candidates are 51-55 years old, 31 candidates are 56-60 years old, 17 candidates are 61-65 years old and 4 candidates are 66 years old.

It should be noted that in a single-mandate constituency it will be most difficult for a female candidate. In some constituencies, women are not represented at all.
