Monitoring of elections is necessary to fulfill Kyrgyzstan's OSCE commitments to hold fair and transparent elections. One of these commitments is to ensure conditions for independent monitoring of elections within the country.
Monitoring of elections is carried out to observe, analyze and prepare recommendations on the electoral process. Observation is performed by long-term and short-term observers who will be trained by the Foundation from among the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The purpose of monitoring is to collect and provide the society with a complete analysis of the compliance of elections with international commitments and the legislation adopted in the country. In other words, our task is to show the real picture of the preparation and conduct of elections, how the rights of all citizens are exercised, including the people with disabilities, with regards to access to information and election stations.
The goal of the Public Foundation Common Cause is to make information about the elections more open so that citizens are informed about all stages of the process
Observation of Parliament's activities and development of parliamentarism.
The Foundation intends to monitor the activities of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to examine the effectiveness of the legislative body, the efficiency of decisions taken and their implementation.
These activities are planned to be conducted both independently and in collaboration with other partner non-profit organizations whose goals and objectives are consistent with the activities of the Public Foundation Common Cause.
Assessment of the effectiveness of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic will be conducted on the basis of generally accepted international methods adapted for Kyrgyzstan in order to be able to influence the quality of activities of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the quality of decisions taken through voters, action groups and public councils.
