73% of the population are well aware of the elections to local keneshes, which are scheduled for April 11, 2021. Of these, 80% plan to take part in the elections.
This data was obtained based on the results of a public opinion poll and are reflected in an analytical report prepared by the Common Cause public foundation - "Public Opinion on the Upcoming Elections to Local Keneshes". Survey period: March 3-17, 2021.
We conducted this survey as part of the voter education component of the “Independent Election Observation in the Kyrgyz Republic” project.
22% of respondents note a high probability of abuse of administrative resources in elections to local keneshes. Considering the reasons for the likelihood of misuse of administrative resources, 61% called it a common practice during elections.
20% of respondents note that there is a high probability of vote-buying in these elections.
